Introducing Rocky! Rocky is a subdued, respectful gentleman on campus adorned in a gorgeous Black and Tan suit. He quietly watches from his kennel as he takes in all the sights and sounds of the shelter. He does not bark or jump in his kennel like most dogs but shows excitement when a leash appears in his handler's hand. Gently and patiently, he waited to be leashed and strutted off on his walk. Rocky arrived at our shelter because his owner was moving. So some of his quietness and wariness can be attributed to his adjustment to shelter life and his new environment. Rocky has been treated for heart worms and has limited exercise until 5/6/16 and will need monthly heartworm preventative for the remainder of his life. Rocky is a sweet young man and yearns to please but is still wary of sudden movements and strangers. Hence, his ideal "furever" home should include teenagers ( not small children), a patient and committed owner to help Rocky adjust to his new home. We are not sure if he would prefer a canine sibling but would encourage a meet and greet to determine compatibility. If you think Rocky would be a great addition to you clan, come on down to AHS to meet our southern gentleman.Handsome, aren't I?
